Wedding Party: Samantha Robbins

Samantha and Rachel first met on St. Patrick’s Day in March of 2004 at the Four Farthings Pub in Chicago. Prior to this meeting, David shared that he had recently met a beautiful and amazing young woman named Samantha, who lived in Indianapolis. David also disclosed how excited he was to introduce Samantha to his big sister. With much anticipation, this meeting finally occurred during Samantha’s first trip (of many to come) to Chicago to visit David.

Upon first meeting Samantha, Rachel recalls being immediately impressed by her warm, open demeanor, beautiful smile and sense of genuineness. Shortly after meeting Samantha, Jason and Rachel became engaged. Selecting a venue for the wedding soon became a family affair. Rachel recalls a soggy Saturday in May of 2004 where Steve, Sandy, Rachel, Jason, David and Samantha participated in the touring of possible wedding locations. After a LONG day, the consensus was the Historical Society.

Since that day, Samantha continually proves to be instrumental in sharing her wedding-planning expertise. (She plans to be a wedding/event planner in the future). From assisting selecting headpieces, to schlepping Rachel’s wedding dress from Indy to Chicago, to helping organize a Bacholerette Weekend, Rachel feels so appreciative for all that Samantha has done.

While the two women have not known each other all that long, Rachel freshly recalls fond memories of playing boards games at she and Jason’s apartment, eating Pizza Express pizza on beautiful table lines in the wee hours at Samantha’s house, engaging in meaningful conversations during evenings out, and shopping for wedding accessories.

Thank you for adding such brightness and joy to my brother’s world. I look forward, with great excitement, to all that future holds for you.”
