Wedding Party: Susan Robinson

Susan and Jason met their sophomore year while attending school at Indiana University. Their first encounter consisted of Jason scaling the second floor balcony of Susan's apartment while she and her roommates were celebrating Susan's birthday. Luckily, Jason was accepted with open arms instead of being mistaken for a burglar.

Soon after that initial meeting, Susan and Jason became fast friends. Experiencing and exploring all that college could offer, both its intellecutal and social components, the two talked for hours about far ranging topics. Whether it was sitting in a hotel bathtub because the hot tub was out of order (above picture) or jumping into Showalter Fountain on graduation day, the two had great times while at IU. Their friendship continued and strengthened during those years at Indiana and at graduation they both said goodbye. Susan returned to Chicago to pursue her career as a teacher and Jason moved to Indianapolis for a position at the Indiana Supreme Court.

One year later, though, the two friends were reunited as Jason began his legal studies in Chicago. Susan and Jason have remained close while living in Chicago. Though relationships and careers have stymied the frequency with which they spend time together, the two pick up exactly where they left off the last time they saw each other.

"I consider Susan to be my closest female friend. She has always been there for me through thick and thin. For those reasons, and many, many others, I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her. Thanks for always being there, Sus. I love you!"
